| I notice a lot of us are doing GCSE's/A Levels this year so I was just wondering what exams everyone has and when. Mine start tomorrow; General Studies Unit 1. We've been taught nothing of any use in lessons and some of the differences between the multiple choice answers are so subtle, I'm dreading it. I wouldn't have to go in until 11 if it wasn't for that exam Study leave doesn't start until a week Friday. | |

| Politics That's not fair, down here I don't think we have to/get the choice to do it until 16+. I had 3 in one day when I did GCSE, it's evil. | |

| Apparently I have a Media Psychology mock next week as well. We finished it at the start of April and it's the one thing I haven't started revising lol. The real exam's not until the 30th June and if I learned it all now I'd never remember it. That will be a fun mock, not. | |

| What's LLW? Are you Year 10 or 11?
General Studies was surprisingly good actually. Some of the questions were asking about Postman Pat's qualities lol. I got a bit annoyed on the last question as there was someone that did A Level Art, Photography and Textiles behind me so obviously she likes drawing and it sounded like she got bored as there was just this scratching of a pencil as if she'd started drawing on her paper. I kind of rushed the last question as I spent a bit long on the one before but I didn't have much more to say anyway lol.
I have the Science paper for General Studies a week tomorrow. I haven't done Science for two years haha. Worried I'm going to mess that up now and bring my whole grade down.

| 2 hour exam for a short course Some of the timings on exams are ridiculous. I have four more, but there's less exams at A Level if you sit some in January. I feel for you having 13 more, I remember having 17 when I did GCSE. | |

9 is the max we are allowed and we have like no subjects to choose from You can do as many GCSE's as you want, or that your school says you can do. There's more than one paper for some GCSE's. I did 10 GCSE's which was the limit at my school, but there were so many papers for them. In Year 10 I did a Science GCSE and had 6 papers for that. Maths was 4 papers with 2 in Year 10 and History, English Language, Additional Science and RE also had more than one paper. Geography there was a module in the January as well. The number of papers you get depends on the subject and the exam board. My friend at a different school however had to take 12. I think schools make a judgement as to whether they want to focus on the quantity or quality of passes when they decide on the number that they say to take.

| in our school they try to get you to do a min of 8 && a max of 9 It all depends wether your taking the 'vocational route' or occupational route' in other words if you do an extra subject or go to tech but we dont have that great a range of subjects cause ccea (the NI exam board) dont provide enough courses && the school doesnt have enough teachers | |

| That's what's good in England. We have 3 different exam boards and my school even teach a course on WJEC (Welsh exam board.) | |

| I did Science and Additional Science on AQA. Did loads of revision for the first one (back when I actually liked Science) and hardly any for Additional. I got 2A's so I do think Additional Science is a lot easier. The other is multiple choice and some of the differences between the possible answers are so subtle which makes it harder. The controlled coursework is the hardest part I think, but I don't know if they have that on CCEA. | |

| I'll have to try that tomorrow, thanks It just took me ages to find the Economics section lol. Trust me to pick subjects that fewer students do; they hid it pretty well. | |
